Wollie is an Easter egg found in Stranded Deep. It is a torn volleyball with the words Wollie on its side, it also has fronds stuffed into and protruding from its gaping opening to emulate hair, and a red bloodied handprint-shaped mark with a face smudged onto it. Due to the game's immersive and lonely nature, players may choose to carry Wollie with them as a makeshift "friend" as they navigate the world.
Wollie can spawn randomly on islands, and can be found lying on the beach.
Trivia[]
- Like other Easter eggs such as the DeadEx box, the "Land Shark" sign and the diver's slate, when the cursor is hovered over Wollie in the player's Backpack, it reads "Awesome" in purple text with a star next to it.
- Wollie is an obvious reference to "Wilson" from the 2000 film Cast Away. Both "characters" are the same in all regards.
Bugs[]
- If the player leaves the island that Wollie was found on and brings him with them, when returning to the same island, another Wollie will have spawned. This bug was fixed in v0.02.
