Cod (also known as Pacific Cod) are aquatic animals found in Stranded Deep. They can be encountered in the deep sea or near the very edges of any island.
Description[]
Cods are passive fish that are distinguished from others by their numerous fins and streamlined shape. They can be found swimming in groups anywhere around or in open waters.
Cods can be killed and skinned with a refined knife.
Strategy[]
Due to cods being found near or in open waters, it is highly recommended to use shark repellent while hunting them, because the player has a higher chance of encountering a shark there, which can be lethal in a place with no cover.
Currently, the player can only use fish traps, fishing spears, and fishing rods to catch them.
