A Crude Axe is a tool item that can be crafted in Stranded Deep.

It can be constructed with two stone tool, one wood stick and two lashing. It can be used in the same capacity as the Refined Axe,but doe of being able to be re-made when destroyed.

The crude axe is also considered a good weapon to use against sharks, as it does more damage than a crude spear.

Trivia

In the current build, like most tools, up to four crude axes can be stored in the same inventory slot, even if they each have varying degrees of durability.

-Crude axes take ten strikes to knock down a [[Palm Tree|palm tree]]; it takes an additional ten strikes for each subsequent stage of degradation (from trunks to logs, from logs to sticks). Though the tool itself is hand-crafted rather crudely (hence the name), it is considered more efficient at cutting down trees than even a strong and durable tool like the [[machete]].
 The crude axe is also considered a good weapon to use against [[:Category:Sharks|sharks]], as it does more damage than a [[Crude Spear|crude spear]].
