The Coconut is a resource item found in Stranded Deep. Coconuts act as a starting food and water source for newer players who are still adjusting to the game's environment.
Obtaining
Coconuts must be picked up or knocked down from a Palm Tree. A coconut can be acquired after hitting it with any sharp tool, such as a Stone Tool, or simply getting picked up from a tree.
Usage
The coconut itself serves as a compact "storage" of both food and fluids. In order to extract the coconut's fluids, one must smash the coconut a few times (depending on your tool) to turn it into a drinkable coconut. If the player hits the drinkable coconut a few more times, it will split into two coconut halves, which can then be consumed. Alternatively, one may also break a coconut open by lifting it and throwing it against a hard surface. Do note that only a coconut that has been cut to be a Drinkable Coconut can make two Coconut Halves.
